So, as some of you did notice, I didn’t update this past Monday, mainly because I was recovering!
I’m moving. I’ve gone in on a house, and my rent is going down significantly, which is exciting, but, it needs a lot of work before I can actually do the moving in part!
Did you know that the way to remove popcorn ceilings is to gently spray it with water, making sure you don’t soak it, and then scrape it off with a paint scraper. Unfortunately, it’s a LOT of work, so I was hurting sore.
But, my ceiling is smooth now, and has a really nice textured paint on it, with SPARKLES. I thank all of the Smyers ‘Pires that gave their lives to make my ceiling shine!
I still need to do some more work with it, and have to call a contractor in to re-do the bathroom, and the closet, which I don’t like. So I have a lot of work a head of me!
I’ll be back to the Cintiq in January, or earlier, thanks to my employers very generous holiday schedule.
I still need to actually move, but I have a lot of work to do before that. Thankfully, I’ve got the lovely and talented Dani who did my ‘Moving!’ image that you see here, to help me along. I’ll take pictures of those when I’m finished.
Until then, thank you all for reading, and see you in January! Have a wonderful winter holiday and a lovely, safe new year!
