So, I’ve taken a little bit of time off from SG, as I sort of get my life together. I’ve been working on getting my life straightened out, and I’m taking my birth month to do it.

Yesterday was my 14th 17th birthday. (I’m actually 31…) And for my birthday, my friend Thornwolf drew the cast of Sacred Grounds (Sponsored in part by Skorzy! With some planning help from Dani!) and I was totally just… ::Grins:: Made of happy.

So, here it is! In order from left to right:

Hey there!

Well, technical problems see to be my forte these days! I’m working hard on switching to useing Sai as my main graphic program, but at the moment the windows machine that I’d be using is password protected by my former employer! How frustrating!

So, this week you get a bit of an apology, Adorable Kemonomimi Westly napping. I love his socked foot.

I do hope to have this comic up and running again flawlessly, but, WordPress/ComicPress is making things difficult for me, and I don’t have the technical know-how to correct it. So, here’s hoping that things in the future are better. ^_^

ETA: Actually…that update went through entirely smoothly, without error. O.o So, I guess I don’t need to work with WordPress at all! Well, that’s excellent!

I still have to get the Sai situation figured out, and then we’ll see about getting everything else settled in. I really do hope to do full pages here soon, seeing as I’m not working, and my space is clean! ^_^ Also, where do you recommend I look to spread the word once I’m happy with the comic?

So, I’ve been getting 0.05 mps for my upload, so this has been hurting a little. I’ve been trying to upload pretty much all night.

Anyway! I’ve worked all night to try to get this working, and I’m hoping that this is finally working!

Anyway, I’ve been working on my other website as well: Personal Daemons! So, check it out too!

So, the title actually comes from two episodes of Being Human. One where Mitchell (the vampire) was making fun of George (The werewolf) during a tiff they were having. George bursts out with “I think that’s…actually Racist!”

And later Annie (The ghost) shouted at George to stop being “Deadist!”

So, calling a vampire a ‘pair of fangs’ is actually … Speciesist? Needless to say, it’s not a nice thing to say to someone who suffers from the condition of vampirism, as it reduces them to just being a pair of fangs. Little tidbits about the SG world.

And, poor angry businessman. Will he ever get his coffee?

Alright, once again, not the best art. I’m still struggling a little with a Raison D’Etre without a job, but, I’m still determined to keep going on Sacred Grounds. I love this comic, and it deserves to keep going!

So, halfway through eleven pages! I wasn’t sure I was gonna get this far! Especially on a color comic. I’m still working to clean my place up, so that I can really concentrate on the comic, it’s just difficult with the apathy I’ve got going on. Even cleaning a 10X12 foot space.

I sleep till one PM every day, stay up till the sun comes up, I’ve gone SERIOUSLY nocturnal! O.O

Ah well, I’ll keep looking for jobs, keep slowly cleaning all of this up, and keep working on my projects. Next up, a dragon! Go me!

I haven’t been feeling artistic at all recently.

Instead I’ve been working on some of my critters. So, that’s why the pages have been a little … sad.

One of these days though, I’ll get back up there and really start working on it. It’s just hard recently. I’ve got no drive.

Ah well. Here’s to that future everyone’s talking about.

Dani, who we had an AMAZING weekend together, helped me out with the inks. I admit, her inks are a lot better than mine.

I’m still laid off, but I’ll be getting unemployment while I search for a job. It’s a WONDERFUL thing!

I’ve been really busy, re-doing my room, and having fantabulous weekends out. But, that’s slowly coming to an end, so I’ll be working on the SG fulltime (Except for the Part Time job of finding another job, I’m totally dedicated to that!)

So, two panels for next week, back into the regular swing of things!

I do apologize for the short comic this week, after I was laid off, I’ve been stupidly busy!

I re-arranged my entire bedroom, it’s now set up for working on artwork. I need to actually FINISH cleaning some day, file for unemployment, and kick my butt on getting back to the job search!

I’ve learned that being unemployed…? Yeah, not for me. I’ve been a bit depressed because of it. But..Once everything’s settled in, I think I’ll be alright.

Well, the sad news is, I, and my team, were all laid off last Wed.

;_;

We were a great team together, and I had a great time working for the company, but, it’s time to move on!

So, I’ve spent my time working on re-arranging my room, so that I can make Sacred Grounds my part time job! (My other job will be finding another job… >.>;)

Today’s comic is the first comic that Dani A.K.A. Kayla-La has ever made, and it is adorable and hilarious. I adore the fact it features her character (I love guest comics of the characters of others!) and is funnier than anything I’ve ever written!

So, expect more SG, better quality SG, and hopefully, new employment!

Phew!

Well, on the bright side, I’m getting a lot faster at what I’m doing, and on the bad side, Photoshop seems like it’s giving my computer problems. Ah well.

Also, it looks like I may lose my job soon. ;_; But, I’ve already started looking for a new one. So, maybe more SG soon, if I don’t keep my job. ^_^

I also decided to try something new with Wolf’s shading. I picked up a brush that simulates fur, and I wanted to give it a shot! So…I did! It looks okay, still not sure with it!
